"Jeter" Aug. 21, 2006--Feb. 8, 2007 "In Memory Of "Jeter"
NO LONGER AT YOUR SIDE, BUT FOREVER IN YOUR HEART
Owned and Loved by his owner "Sandra Curtis"
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep, I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew that in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you. The day is over...I smile and watch You yawning and say "good-night, God Bless, I'll see you in the morning."
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side. I have too many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out....then come home to be with me.
"A TRAGIC ENDING TO A YOUNG LIFE"
Sandi Curtis was employed at a fairly new obedience facility, "BoomTown" located in the Rochester NY area, as an Obedience Instructor. During class that Sandi was teaching the owners were doing attention work with there dogs when one owner lost control of her large Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, owned by Karen Pyle. The Mt. Dog was able to grab Jeter who showed submissive behavior by rolling onto his back exposing his stomach area which the Mt. Dog grabbed causing internal injuries. After extensive sugery, Jeter quietly passed away the following day. Since then, Sandi has quit working at "Boomtown". No replacement was made to Sandi for the loss of her precious family member by the owner of the Mt. Dog. Jeter had been in training for obedience and agility and touched the lives of many with his outgoing and wonderful personality. He will be greatly missed!!
Jeter will never be replaced, but a hole was filled with a new life "Aero" on April 17, 2007. "The Final Ending to a Tragic Loss"
In November 2007 Sandi Curtiss lost her life in a tragic murder. Aero was spared and is now living with her uncle where he will be loved and cared for. Sandi was a warm, loving talented person who touched many lives including mine. I will miss her very much and hope "Jeter" was waiting at the Rainbow Bridge with tail wagging!!!!!!
"Aero" is being trained in a NEW facilty for obedience and agility where large dogs are seperated from the small ones!
